Two Police Pursuits End with Five Total Arrests

Three people were arrested early Friday morning on Highway 56 in Warren County after a police pursuit began in Grundy County.
Sheriff Clint Shrum of the Grundy Co. Sheriffs Dept. said deputies were doing a patrol in Tarlton Valley, when they observed a red car traveling toward Warren County.

They observed that the vehicle had no taillights, the driver was using both lanes of travel and had no vehicle tag. The vehicle began traveling at a fast rate of speed toward Warren County.
During the pursuit, there was a baggie that came from the driver’s side window.

After passing Irving College, Warren County deputies deployed spike strips in an attempt to stop the vehicle. After striking the spikes the vehicle continued traveling on its rims into McMinnville. The vehicle finally came to a complete stop in the middle of the road.

Three men were arrested by Warren Co. deputies. Charges included, but not all on each person, evading arrest, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, manufacture, selling and possession of a controlled substance, registration violation and DUI.

Pursuit 2:

Two people were arrested after a high-speed chase Friday in Cannon County, according to a release from the Cannon County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy was conducting a traffic stop there when a gold Ford sedan passed him, almost striking the deputy.

The deputy then went to his vehicle to attempt a traffic stop. The vehicle then sped up and tried to flee. Deputies then chased the vehicle for several miles until the driver tried to drive through a field off Trail Road.

The vehicle got stuck and the driver, Dallas Rogers, and his passenger, Emily Maddox, were both arrested and face several charges.
