Landon Crabtree a rising senior at Coffee County Central High School has been awarded a scholarship to attend the Tennessee Governor’s School for science and engineering in Knoxville TN.
Landon was nominated by a teacher at his school and submitted three resumes to the selection committee.
Landon is one of only 128 students from the state of Tennessee attending this year’s governor’s school of science and engineering. During the 30-day school, Landon will participate in stem classes, chemistry labs and multiple field trips. Upon successfully completion Landon will earn five college credits.
Landon was chosen for his high academic achievements and currently has a 4.0 GPA with numerous honors and AP classes.
After high school Landon plans on attending a four-year college and majoring in chemical engineering or computer science.
In Landon’s spare time he enjoys fishing and building servers on his computer.
Due to the recent coronavirus the governor’s school has been moved to a at home format and classes are held via zoom with homework submitted via email.
