Unemployment Rates on the Rise in almost All Tennessee Counties

Unemployment in 93 of Tennessee’s 95 counties increased in October.
Williamson County had the state’s lowest unemployment in October and Shelby County recorded the highest.

In Bedford County, their unemployment rate jumped from 5.7 in September to 6.9 percent in October.

Cannon County went up from 4.5 percent to 6 percent.

Coffee County climbed from 5.5 percent in September to 6.6 percent in October.

Franklin County saw its unemployment rate go up from 4.9 percent to 6.1.

Grundy County went up by over 2 percent, going from 6.4 in September to 8.5 in October.

Lincoln County climbed from 6.1 percent in September to 7.5 percent in October.

Moore County was another county that went in October. Jumping from 3.3 to 4.8 percent and in Warren Co. the rate increased from September to October from 6.1 percent to 7.6 percent, up 1.5 percent.
