The Manchester man that was severely injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon on the Murfreesboro Highway at the Rutherford/Coffee County line succumbed to his injuries. Scott Cutshaw passed away early Saturday morning at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
Some type of work was being done on the roadway and traffic was stopped, except one vehicle that did not stop and crashed into other vehicles involved, including Cutshaw’s truck that sitting still.

Coffee County resident, 29 year-old Matthew Brandon has been charged in connection with the death of Cutshaw. He was booked into the Rutherford County Detention Center on Saturday under a bond of $113,000. He is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, simple possession/casual exchange of illegal drugs, driving on a suspended license, DUI third offense and reckless endangerment.
