Update! Two Escapees from Lincoln County Captured

Two inmates, 29-year-old Christopher Matthew Meeks, and 52-year-old Walter James Allen Sr., escaped the Lincoln County Jail on Saturday, but on Sunday, they were captured.

Sheriff Joyce McConnell thanked her staff for the long hours they worked to help capture the escapees.

Sheriff McConnell also thanked the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department, Fayetteville Police Department, and Tennessee Highway Patrol for their help in capturing the two escapees.

Two inmates, 29-year-old Christopher Matthew Meeks, and 52-year-old Walter James Allen Sr., escaped from the Lincoln County Jail late Saturday afternoon.  

Allen is a white male and is 52 years old. He is 5′11″ and weighs around 210 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. Meeks is also a white male. He is 29 years old, 5′3″, weighs about 150 pounds, and has brown eyes.

If you see either of these escapees, do not approach them. Instead, you are asked to call 911 or your local law enforcement.
