The first known Veterans Day Parade in Manchester will be held on Saturday, November 9th, starting at 10 a.m.
Immediately following the parade, there will be a Veterans Ceremony, on the Square. Performances by the Manchester Arts Center, Home School Theater Enrichment Program and East Coffee Elementary Choir as well as Cyndi Clower and Lloyd Smith.
This year’s event will feature an animal war veteran. Laura and Dwight Vandergriff will have their horse Sergeant Reckless in the parade and in the ceremony. Laura will describe what the original SGT Reckless did during the Korean War with the Marines.
Following the Ceremony, stay and enjoy the day with entertainment by the Clower Family Band.

Sunday, November 10, at 2:00 p.m. American Legion Post 44 will host its second annual Veterans Parade in downtown Winchester. This parade is for veterans in Franklin, Coffee, Lincoln and Moore County. The 2019 parade is already proving to be a larger event than last year with more participants and spectators expected.

Mayor Lane Curlee and the Tullahoma Board of Aldermen announce that US Air Force Colonel Jeff Geraghty, commander of the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base will be the featured speaker at the City of Tullahoma’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Veterans and the public are invited to attend the Veterans Day Ceremony to be held on Monday, November 11 at the South Jackson Civic Center at 404 South Jackson Street at 10:45 am. At this time, the City of Tullahoma will pause to honor America’s veterans and celebrate their contributions to our nation’s security.
