Warren County Director of Schools Grant Swallows announced on Sunday night families will once again be given the opportunity to enroll in the Virtual Instruction Program (VIP) if they choose. Due to staffing decisions that must be made with this program, enrollment will close on Thursday, December 10th at 3:00 pm. If a student wants to enroll in VIP, please contact the zoned school. Additionally, students that are currently enrolled in VIP and would like to return to school may do so by contacting their school during this same time frame. Please note, if a student is currently enrolled in VIP, they will continue with that enrollment unless they contact their school. Also, students who have been taken out of VIP and returned to school or those with failing grades will not be eligible for VIP enrollment.
Second, the CDC and TDOH have both updated guidelines related to the quarantine requirements for individuals that are in close contact with the virus. From now going forward, students in Warren County who have had close contacts will be required to quarantine for 10 days with the possibility of getting a negative test on day 7 that will allow for a return to normal activity.
The Warren County school system will continue to do distancing, wearing a mask, and practicing good hygiene.
