On Tuesday night Westwood got its home basketball season underway after the first 3 games away from Joel Vinson Gym. The Lady Rockets picked up a 30 win over Cannon County, 54-24.
Jules Ferrell had another solid night with 18 and Reece Finch was close behind with 16 points. Bella VanZandbergen added 8 points.
In boys’ play the Westwood were 3-0 coming into the game against the Lions. Cannon County forced the Rockets to turn the ball over at least 20 times as they defeated the Rockets, 45-21.
Kaysen Lowery had 7 points to lead Westwood and Matthew White added 6.
