Westwood Finishes Runner-Up in DRVC Basketball Tournament

The Westwood Rockets bid to win both Duck River Valley Conference Tournament championships fell just short on Saturday at Community Middle School.

After the Lady Rockets won the girls’ side, the boys battled hard in their effort, but it was Eagleville pulling out the 37-34 win, giving the Rockets the runner-up trophy.

Kaysen Lowery led Westwood with 13 points, followed by Isaiah Buchanan, Zeke Jones and Matthew White with 6 points each.

Lowery and White were named to the All-Conference and All-Tournament teams.
