Westwood Soccer Opens Season

The Westwood Rockets boys’ soccer team opened their 2023 season on Wednesday night by defeating Fayetteville City 9-0.

Joan Deanda and Jobson Lemons scored two each on the night. They also had one assist each. Alex Aviles and Aiden Walker added two assists each in the win. Walker also had a goal. Michael Vierus scored the first goal in the game. Gaiden Stinson had one goal that was assisted by Anthony Davis. Chris Villamar and 6th grader Angel Trejo hit the back of the net one time each.

Head Coach Kevin Smith said he was extremely pleased with his team’s effort and was looking forward to seeing the Rockets continue to succeed this season.
