Tullahoma wasted no time imposing their will in Friday’s regular season finale. The Wildcats scored 49 first quarter points and pitched a shutout to down Glencliff 49-0 and cap their second consecutive undefeated regular season.
Tullahoma spread the love in the first quarter blitzkrieg as Ryan Scott, Keishawn Cummings, Jaxson Sheffield, Owen Strop and Wade Collins ran for touchdowns and Evan Tomlin and Landon Foutch had pick sixes in the 12-minute onslaught.
From there with the postseason looming, game well in hand and a running clock the Cats emptied the bench to roll to the easy victory.
Tullahoma having clinched the Region 5-4A title last week has secured home field advantage though the postseason. The road to the BlueCross Bowl begins next Friday when they play host to Chester County. The Eagles, the 4th place team from Region 6-4A, come into the postseason at 5-5 overall and 2-3 in region play, however they enter with momentum having won their final two regular season games.
