The Tullahoma Wildcats topped former district rival Franklin County 7-1 in front of a near capacity crowd on Little League night at Grider Stadium to end a four-game losing streak.
After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the third the Cats struck back with 3 in the bottom half of the frame to take the lead. They put the game away in the fourth cashing in several Rebel errors to add on four more runs.
Joe Duncan led the way for the Cats offensively, going 2-2 with 2 walks, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Duncan was named the Bowman Media Player of the Game for his performance.
Jayron Morris picked up the win for Tullahoma holding Franklin County to one run and one hit while striking out six in four innings of work. Brody Melton pitched three scoreless innings in relief allowing just one hit and striking out four.
The win improves the Wildcats to 10-10 on the season, they’ll travel to Riverdale on Saturday at 1 pm.
