On Monday afternoon at Willowbrook Golf Course in Manchester, a three-way golf match took place between Coffee County, Tullahoma, and Marshall County.
In boys’ play, the Red Raiders picked up two wins with a score of 161, the Wildcats had the second-lowest score of 172 for one win, and the Tigers shot 195.
Coffee County’s Jack Stowe had the low score over the 9-hole match with a 1-under 35. Finishing in the top four scores for the Raiders were Jackson Shemwell, 41, Noah Costello, 42, and Brady Daugherty, 43. Other non-counting scores for Coffee County, Zach Tidwell 45, and Beau Murray 46.
Alex Myers led Tullahoma with a 39, Jack Hill 42, Keegan Taylor 44, and Caden Finchum 47. Other non-counting scores for the Wildcats were Jesse Gillis with a 49 and Baylan Tuten’s 52.
Marshall County got a 43 from Ronan Scott, Easton McMahon 46, John Michael Darnell 51, and Khalil Hill 55.
In the girls’ match, Coffee County defeated Marshall County 107-120. Leah Kate Sullivan shot 51 for the Lady Raiders, followed by Araya Hughes with a 56. The Lady Tigers were led by Nellie Neece with a 52, and Gillian McKnight shot 68. Tullahoma’s Myla Dennis had the low round of the day as she shot 50, but she competes as an individual.
Area schools will compete in the Golden Classic at Willowbrook on Wednesday morning, hosted by Coffee County.
