Friday night, Coffee County traveled to Murfreesboro to take on Oakland. The Patriots came into the game as the #1 Class 6A team, according to MaxPreps, and #2 in the AP poll.
The Raiders were able to move the ball in the first half against the stout Patriot defense. In the second half, it was a different story as Coffee County could not get on track.
Oakland only managed 142 yards in the first half but still held a 21-0 lead. The Patriots were able to double that score for a final of 42-0 on just 100 yards of offense in the second half. Oakland improved the record to 7-1.
Red Raider defensive lineman Claudio Vik was named the Rooster 101.5, Giles Dunn Diamond Company, Player of the Game. He had two sacks on the night.
