The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Coffee County Sheriff’s deputies, Coffee County EMS, and school officials responded to the scene of a bus accident on Tuesday afternoon.

Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin told On Target News that a pickup truck had stopped abruptly in front of a school bus, and the driver of a second bus maneuvered the vehicle off the roadway, slightly hitting a culvert.

The accident occurred at Duncan Rd/Hwy 53 (Woodbury Hwy), causing minor damage, but the bus was driven back to the garage. Partin said there were no serious injuries.
