On Tuesday, August 22, a report was filed at the Manchester Police Department concerning the theft of property from several vehicles at Dave King Park during a sporting event. A preliminary report conducted by the initial officer states that several vehicles were vandalized, and personal items, along with identity documents, were taken from the vehicles.
On Friday, August 25, a report was filed with the Decherd Police Department concerning several offenses, including identity theft. According to the victim, her vehicle, along with other vehicles that, were burglarized during a sporting event in Coffee County. The victim stated that several checks were stolen. The victim reports that several of those checks had been signed and cashed at a local bank in Franklin County. It is believed that the suspect used the identity of the victim and the credentials to gain access to her account.
After further investigation, legal requests were made, and photographs were provided of a person of interest to aid in the investigation.
