A former Grundy County Sheriff Deputy has surrendered his Tennessee post certification after he was found to be using a fake high school diploma to get his jobs.
In January, the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy received an anonymous complaint saying Brandon Patterson paid for his diploma on Amazon.
There currently are no criminal complaints against Patterson for doing this.
It was found that he withdrew from high school in Hamilton County in 2009 and did not graduate from a school in Tennessee.
The Post Commissioner approved his request to surrender.
