An investigation by the McMinnville Police Dept. has resulted in charges of a McMinnville man for rape and his mother has been charged with coercion of a witness.
47 year old Gary Lankford, Jr. was taken into custody Wednesday charged with rape and his bond was set at $700,000 dollars. 65 year old Rosemary Kenney was charged with coercion of a witness and is being held on $200,000 bond.
According to the McMinnville Police Dept., after receiving a complaint of allegations of rape of a 14 year old, police received information that Lankford had an active federal indictment pending. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Kenney coerced the female into naming someone else for the rape.

Lankford and Kenney were found at a residence on Twin Oaks Rd. in McMinnville. Lankford was taken into custody after a brief standoff while Kenney was taken into custody without incident.
