Cats Split Double Header, Lady Cats roll in the Boro

Tullahoma Baseball split a district double header with Lawrence County Monday night at Grider Stadium in Tullahoma. 

In Game one the Cats put three runs on the board in the second and another in the fourth to carry a 4-3 to the seventh. A dropped third strike set the stage for Lawrence County to tie the game and then put five runs on the board in the 8th to steal game one 9-5. 

Trailing 4-3 in the top of the sixth of game two Hunter Hogan’s sac fly netted two runs as the Cats rallied to earn the split of the double header. 

Tullahoma who is now 14-6 overall and 4-1 in district 8-3A play has a home and home series with Coffee County this weekend. Friday’s game in Manchester can be heard at 6:00 on The Rooster 101.5 while Saturday’s game, also a 6:00 start will be on 93.9 The Duck. 

Led by a 3-3 four RBI night from Madison Goad Tullahoma softball shutout Central Magnet in three inning Monday Night in Murfreesboro. The Lady Cats scored 10 in the first and 5 in the third for the run rule victory. 

Tullahoma heads to Franklin County Thursday night at 5:30.

Will is a Middle Tennessee native having been born and raised in Winchester. His love of radio began as a child listening to local stations on the way to school or while falling asleep at night. After High School, where he was active in student media, he attended the University of Tennessee majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media while covering sports for the campus radio station. He then moved into the business professionally as a board op/producer for Cumulus of Knoxville and the Vol Network. His radio journey then took him to Louisiana where he was the lead producer for ESPN New Orleans. After returning home to Winchester, he spent several years broadcasting local sports for stations in Franklin County before joining the Bowman Family. When he’s not at the station, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Shaina and his two fur babies (Toulouse and Belle), cheering on the Vols, Preds and Saints and in the kitchen or behind the grill trying out new recipes.
