The vast majority of counties in Tennessee experienced a decrease in their unemployment rates during July, according to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD).
Seventy-nine of Tennessee’s 95 counties reported lower unemployment compared to the county statistics for June.
Williamson, Cheatham, Sevier, and Moore counties all had the lowest rates of unemployment at 2.7%.
Area Counties:
Bedford stayed steady at 3.8%
Coffee dropped from 3.9 in June to 3.7% in July
Franklin fell from 4% to 3.9
Grundy is down from 5.4 to 5.1%
Lincoln went down from 3.6% unemployment in June to 3.3 in July
Warren County dropped from 4.9 % to 4.8% in July.
