The Moore County Raiders early season struggles continued Friday Night as they fell to Forrest in their home opener 21-7.
After a scoreless first period the Rockets got on the board late in the 2nd on a one-yard run by quarterback Hunter Bennett to cap off a 6 play 60 yard drive. That score would hold putting Forrest up 7-0 at the break.
The Rockets would add a pair of Chris Davis touchdowns in the 2nd half (1 yard and 21-yard runs) to expand their lead to 21. Both of Forrest 2nd half touchdowns came on drives that followed a Raider fumble.
Moore County would get on the board late in the 4th on a 24-yard run by Conner Partin. That score set up a play prior by a 56-yard pass from Partin to Will Parker.
Forrest recovered the ensuing squib kick and ran out the final 5:23 of the game to secure the 21-7 win.
For his performance Friday Connor Partin was named The Riddle Agency Player of the Game.
