Manchester City Schools System Buys Former Health Department Building

The Manchester City School system has bought its future home for the administration offices.

Manchester City Schools have agreed to purchase the former Coffee County Health Department building for $481,000. The building is located on Parks St in Manchester, just off McArthur Drive.

School Director Dr. Joey Vaughn told On Target News that the system is overflowing at its current location on East Fort St. He said he and the board are very excited about the new location. The building has over 4,000 square feet and a more convenient parking area.

Vaughn added that the inside would need some upgrading, but there is no timetable for any work that will need to be done and a move-in date will be decided at a later date.
