The Coffee County Red Raiders baseball team returned to the diamond Thursday night at Upperman to take on the Bees.
After falling in district games on Monday and Tuesday against Columbia, a non-district contest is what the doctor ordered. Coffee County picked up their 13th win of the season with a 5-1 victory over the Bees.
Blake Hillis went 1-for-2 at the plate and scored three runs, while Cole Pippenger had a hit and scored two runs.
Isiah Deadman threw a strong four and two-third innings, allowing just one hit, no runs and he had five strikeouts to earn the win. Bird Fellers got the save.
Senior Night is Friday at Powers Field in Manchester for the Red Raiders. Festivities begin at 5:15 PM, with game time set for 6 PM. You can hear the game on The Rooster 101.5, www.rooster1015.com, or the Rooster 101.5 app.
Remember, the Lady Raiders softball team will host the Chick-fil-A Coffee County Classic on Friday and Saturday at Terry Floyd Field at the high school and Dave King Park.
