On Thursday afternoon at Willowbrook Golf Course in Manchester, a three-way golf match took place between Coffee County, Tullahoma, and Shelbyville.
In boys’ play, the Red Raiders picked up two wins with a score of 330 in the 18-hole match. The Wildcats had the second-lowest score with 349 for one win, and the Eagles shot 406.
Coffee County’s Jack Stowe and Shelbyville’s Corban Crowe shot the low rounds on the day, with both carding 79s.
Finishing in the top four scores for the Raiders, along with Stowe, were Noah Costello, 83, followed by Jackson Shemwell and Brady Daugherty, shooting 84 each.
Keegan Taylor’s 84 led Tullahoma, with teammates Keegan Taylor carding an 85, Brody Fulmer shot 86, Keegan Taylor 44, and Alex Miller finished at 89.
After Crowe led the way for the Eagles, other counting scores were Hoyt Wessner 98, Micah Heflin 109, and Gabe Velasquez 120.
In the JV match, Coffee County defeated Tullahoma 362-369. Jaxon Phillps led the Raiders with an 86. The other three counting scores were Zach Tidwell at 88, Cade William at 90, and Landon Collins shot 98. The Wildcats were led by Caden Finchum, who shot 87, Andrew Fulmer, 93, Owen Weaver, 94, and Trevor Cole with a 95.
No female golf match was held, but individuals did play. The lowest score was recorded by Myla Dennis from Tullahoma, with a 94. Araya Hughes shot 95 for the Lady Raiders, and her teammate Leah Kate Sullivan got around the 18 holes in 99 shots. Shelbyville’s Anabel Leigh carded a 106.
