Two Coffee County Athletes Sign to play College Sports

Coffee County football’s Jahlin Osborne will play college football for the Austin Peay Governors. Austin Peay competes in the Division I ASUN conference.

During the 2022 high school football season, the 6’4″, 215 lb TE caught 49 passes for 651 yards and three touchdowns for the 9-3 Raiders. Those numbers earned “Ozzy” the Region Tight End of the Year.

Also, this week Coffee County Senior basketball player Emaleigh Tarpley signed up to play at the next level at Cumberland University in Lebanon. The Phoenix in the NAIA Mid-South Conference.

Tarpley stands 6 feet tall and can play guard and in low and
high positions. She is also an exceptional defensive player. She has contributed in a big way to the Lady Raiders being ranked 3rd in the latest AP poll and having a 27-1 overall record.

Lucky has done play-by-play for 3,947 (and counting) sports events on Radio & TV. He also served four years as the Public Information Officer for the Coffee Co. Sheriff's Dept. and taught Radio/TV for six years at Grundy County High School.
