Update on Gene Taylor/Steve Graves Christmas Foundation and Coffee County Rescue Squad

The Gene Taylor/Steve Graves Christmas Foundation has added a drop-off collection date after Monday night’s fire at the Coffee County Rescue Squad building that destroyed toys and food items for those in need. The date is Monday, December 11, starting at 11 am until.

The Rooster 101.5, 93.9 The Duck, and Whiskey Country 105.1 & 95.9 will broadcast live from 11 am-1 pm on Monday. Drop by, say hi, and make a donation.

Many businesses, schools and individuals have started collecting items as well. Steve Graves thanks the community for all they have done to help families less fortunate in Coffee County have a Merry Christmas. Graves says that the business community has really stepped up to assist in various ways, and he is very thankful.

The Rescue Squad has three buildings on its property, and they are moving things around to accommodate all the donations.

The rescue squad continues to operate as they responded to two calls on Tuesday.

The squad is also accepting donations for their volunteer organization. During Monday night’s City of Manchester Board of Mayor and Alderman meeting, they voted to donate $10,000 to help the rescue squad.
