23 People Arrested in Warren County on Drug Charges

On August 9, 2023, law enforcement officers with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, McMinnville Police Department, and the 31st Judicial District Attorney’s Office executed a series of arrest warrants in Warren County. These arrests result from a successful joint operation between the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the McMinnville Police Department, and investigators with the District Attorney’s office investigating drug trafficking in the county.

As of Wednesday, 23 of the 37 subjects indicted by the Warren County grand jury have been arrested on drug-related charges. Also, the operation resulted in the arrest of additional subjects wanted for various crimes, including violent offenses, and officers discovering other illegal drugs during the series of arrests.

Sheriff Matheny is proud of the work between the departments and deems the operation a success. He wants to assure the public that his office will continue to work with the police department and the district attorney’s office to investigate, arrest, and assist in prosecuting those involved in illegal drug activity.

Sheriff's Dept. and taught Radio/TV for six years at Grundy County High School.
