The Coffee County Lady Raider softball team hosted the Chick-fil-A Coffee County Classic on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the Lady Raiders played multi-time state champion Baylor Red Raiders. Baylor defeated Coffee County 11-0. Madison Pruitt had a hit for Coffee County.
On Saturday, the Red Raiders played with a limited number of players due to prom. They lost to Boyd Buchannan 8-3 and defeated Giles County 5-4.
Against the Bucks, the Lady Raiders got one hit each from Paisley Campbell, Willow Carden, and Kaylee Buckley.
In their final Chick-fil-A Coffee County Classic game, the Lady Raiders defeated Giles County. They were led by Carden and Campbell, who had two hits, and Buckley added a 2-RBI double.
The Lady Raiders, 17-12 on the season, travel to Gordonsville on Monday. Coffee County will host a District 9-AAAA tournament game on Friday. Rooster 101.5 will be on hand to call the action.n
