567 Children Receive Toys and 875 Coffee County Citizens Given Food from Taylor/Graves Foundation

The Gene Taylor/Steve Graves Christmas Foundation in Coffee County desperately needed help when a fire burned a building at the Coffee County Rescue Squad where toys and food for those in need were being stored.

After an incredible effort by many, 567 children were recipients of wonderful toys for Christmas, and after an outpouring of love, 875 people received food.

Graves and all the other volunteers thanked all the elves who worked so hard to make this happen. The Foundation stated they are beyond blessed to have such a great group that many hours to pull off the annual Christmas event.

The Foundation wanted to especially thank the Coffee County Rescue Squad for moving equipment around and giving them room to start over again after the fire. They also send a special thank you to the citizens, organizations, businesses, and churches from Coffee County and surrounding counties. The group also received donations from outside the state, including New York.

Steve Graves added that he knows the late Gene Taylor would be so proud of everyone who donated and helped make this an outstanding year. It’s incredible what a community can do when they pull together.
