Coffee County are currently having a solid season. The Raiders currently have 3 swimmers qualified for the State Swimming meet. Kennedy Norman-Young in the 100 free, Emily Williams in multiple events, Josh Rutledge in multiple events.
Kennedy will be swimming tomorrow night to try and qualify in the 50 free, although she has regional cuts in multiple events as well. These state qualifiers will not participate in Regionals this year due to facility restrictions per MTHSAA guidelines.
Kasen Holt, Ellie Masters, Ansley Beachboard are right on their Regional cuts so will be trying for those.
The Manchester Recreation Center has graciously allowed the team to host one more meet on April 6 to allow another chance for swimmers to make those cuts. It will be for those swimmers who are close only. This will include other teams as well.
Regionals is scheduled for April 17th & 18th in Nashville, boys will be hosted on one day and girls on the others.
State information is at bare minimum right now. It will be held the weekend following a regionals. There will be 4 venues for this meet, Tunica, Knoxville, Ensworth & Baylor. They will combine all the results for top 16 results. The Raiders had to select their preferences and they selected Ensworth over Baylor but will be happy with either.”
