Strong Storms pass through Coffee County on Wednesday

A line of severe storms rolled through Coffee County Wednesday evening, leaving downed power lines and toppled trees in its wake.

At one time over 5,000 Duck River Electric Co-op customers were without power in Coffee County.

Damage to Coffee Farmers Co-op

Some areas of Manchester suffered damage. The Coffee Farmers Co-op received severe damage, the Prater’s BBQ sign was destroyed, a tree fell on a pick-up at the Recreation Center, the BP Station on the McMinnville Hwy received structure damage, the covering on a dugout at the Westwood Middle School’s softball field was torn off and roof damage occurred at the 9th Grade Academy. More damage was reported at other businesses and personal property.
