Gene Taylor/Steve Graves Christmas Foundation Helping Hundreds this Holiday Season

It’s been another successful year for the Gene Taylor/Steve Graves Christmas Foundation. The group of volunteers help hundreds of Coffee County citizens each year.

Former Sheriff Steve Graves began working with department employees to help those in need 20 years ago. After leaving office, Graves and Taylor learned the program would end, so a foundation was created.

Taylor unfortunately passed away in 2018, but his love of helping people is still going on today.

Graves joined forces with many outstanding people, including the Coffee County Rescue Squad, Larry Floyd, Mike Winton, Hwy 41 Toy Drive, Schools, Sportsmen and Businessmen Organization, area fishermen, Manchester Fire & Rescue, local businesses and individuals that wanted to help residents that were in need some assistance during the holidays.

This year (2022) the Gene Taylor/Steve Graves Christmas Foundation was able to give 271 children toys to enjoy and 337 families received food boxes.
