A huge crowd was on hand for baseball action on Saturday night in Tullahoma. After the top of the first inning at Grider Stadium, the fans were already being entertained. The Coffee County Red Raiders jumped to the early lead, 3-0. Tullahoma did not go away quietly as they plated 5 runs in the first two innings and led 5-3 after two. That would bring an end to the scoring for the Wildcats as the Raiders would add one run in the third and two runs each in the fourth, sixth, and seventh inning for a 10-5 non-district win.
Hunter Hogan took the tough loss in relief for Tullahoma, and Cole Pippenger was credited with the win in relief for Coffee County.
The Red Raiders totaled eight hits in the game Brendon Sheppard, Nate Rutledge, and Caleb Moran all had two hits. Moran had 2 RBI and scored a run. Rutledge knocked in a run and scored three times. Sheppard had a 3 RBI night and scored once. Bird Fellers also scored twice for Coffee County.
Evan Tomlin, Andrew Fulmer, and Jayron Morris powered the big inning with RBIs. Fulmer had 2 RBI, and Tomlin scored 2 runs.
The Red Raiders (5-0/2-0) play at Warren County in district play on Monday night at 6 PM, and Rooster 101.5 will be there with the call beginning at 5:50 PM.
Tullahoma will be on the road Monday for a 6:30 PM matchup against district foe Marshall County in Lewisburg.
