Tullahoma has Released Their Latest Response to the Covid-19 Outbreak

The City of Tullahoma is doing its part to serve and respond effectively to the needs of the community. Like our community, we all must make changes that will help get us back to normal as soon as possible. Community centers, public lobbies and walk-in service areas will remain closed to the public until April 27, 2020. All City of Tullahoma departments remain fully operational and ready to assist you with all public services.
Tullahoma police and fire departments continue to operate at full capacity. If you have an emergency, dial 911.
We have postponed public meetings, and the City is planning accommodations for public participation and viewing through remote capabilities. Closures include: all public walk-in services or lobbies, including the lobby of the firehalls, City Hall, public works recycling and garbage transfer facility, the Tullahoma Animal Shelter and the lobby of Planning and Codes. The City will release more information, so please check our Facebook page or Tullahomatn.gov for future releases..
We want to encourage citizens to call in or e-mail for assistance. These changes are designed to protect the public and our staff, so please be advised of the following modified operations:
City Hall/City Recorder
Lobby and Recorders Office closed until April 24. Property tax payments and garbage account payments can be paid online by credit card from the convenience of your home.

Tullahoma Parks and Recreation
Tullahoma Parks and Recreation has closed the community centers, park restrooms, pavilions and playgrounds. Waggoner Park, including the Dog Park at Waggoner Park, and Johnson Lane Soccer Complex are closed to the public at this time. Park restrooms, pavilions, and playgrounds are closed. These areas contain many common surfaces that can be a source of contamination. All other park open, green spaces, trails, and recreational areas remain open. Parks does encourage residents to enjoy the outdoors. Residents are encouraged to continue use of the City’s Greenway, open areas at Frazier McEwen Park, the Sunrise Rotary Disc Golf Course and Jefferson Street Park.
City parks and state parks have advised that they are seeing heavier than normal use. We want to encourage all visitors to consider using local parks first before travelling to other areas to minimize cross contamination and slowing the spread of COVID-19.
Use these tips for visiting parks:
Stay local
Do not gather in groups of 10 or more
Social distance-stay six feet apart
If it’s crowded, don’t stay
Use the bathroom before you go. Public restrooms are high risk areas for touching surfaces.
Tullahoma Police Department
If you have an emergency dial 911. The police department is fully staffed and operational.
The police department lobby is not being staffed. Please use the phone in the lobby if you need assistance and you will be connected to the communication center. In order to minimize exposure to the Coronavirus for the safety of the public and our staff, the Tullahoma Police Department is immediately suspending walk-in traffic for accident report request service. In order to receive your reports, please call 455-0530, 455-2648 or email City Recorder, Rosemary Golden, at rgolden@tullahomatn.gov, and you can request that a copy of your report be e-mailed or mailed to your address.

The fee for this service has been temporarily suspended.

Tullahoma Fire Department
If you have an emergency, dial 911. The fire department is fully staffed and operational.
The lobbies at Fire Hall 1 and 2 are closed and visitors are not allowed.

Tullahoma Public Works
Solid waste and recycling routes are being run on a normal schedule. The lobby at Public Works is closed.
The recycling center is still open for drop off.

Tullahoma Animal Shelter
Animal Control Officers are still on call. The animal shelter is closed and is not adopting dogs, but trying to assist with finding foster homes via Facebook and phone. Please call 454-9580 or email Animal Control Supervisor, Jeff Wilson, if you need assistance.
Planning and Codes
The Planning and Codes offices are closed, but the staff is still operating.

Individuals can assist us in practicing everyday prevention measures, in compliance with the CDC recommendations for minimizing possible exposure to COVID-19:
• Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home while you are sick and avoid close contact with others.
• Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
• Clean commonly touched surfaces regularly.
• Select a room in your house to utilize if you must self-quarantine and identify someone who can bring you supplies to avoid having to make trips.
• Stay informed on the latest updates.
