The number of school-aged children testing positive for COVID-19 the last 14 days has grown to 28,350 as of Monday according to the Tennessee Department of Education (TDE).
The total represents an increase of over 3,350 since Friday’s report from TDE and represents a 604% increase compared to the 4,025 positive cases 29 days ago on August 2.

The department says 1 in every 85 Tennesseans, over 79,000 people, are currently infected with COVID-19.
