A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred Thursday morning on the Hillsboro Hwy.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports say that Christopher May, 61 of Winchester was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado when he collided with a 2000 Peterbilt tractor-trailer. May died from injuries he received in the crash.
The THP report says that May veered into the lane of travel of the Peterbilt driven by 29 year-old Austin Morris of Manchester, who was uninjured in the accident. The on-scene patrolman reported that said Morris did all he could to avoid the tragic crash.
