State Routes in Coffee County and I-24’s Exit 117 will see improvements, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation Roadway Activity Report.
Retracing of pavement markings will be performed in Coffee County. Additionally, improvement work will begin on I-24 at mile marker 117, and the westbound on-ramp will be closed.
Routes in Coffee County that will see improvements include State Route-55, State Route-16 and State Route-2. TDOT advises motorists to use caution while traveling through the work zone and be alert of traffic signage, personnel and equipment.
Utility work on State Route-55 (New Manchester Hwy) both directions will also be performed. Lane closures between East Coffee Street and Parks Street is expected. Signage and cones will be present. TDOT advises motorists to use caution through the area and be aware of personnel and equipment between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., through Oct. 28.
