Warren County man to Spend 35 years in Prison for Murder

Jury selection was set to begin on Monday in Warren County for 30 year-old Wesley Leverette. He was charged with one count of first-degree murder in the February 2017 death of 55 year-old Barry Cole at a residence on Lind St. in McMinnville.

If Leverette had gone to trial and been convicted, he could have faced life without the possibility of parole but agreed to a plea deal of second-degree murder and will spend the next 35 years in prison, which he will serve 100 percent. Leverette will not get out of prison until the age of 65.
