Bedford County Mayor Proclaims April as Child Abuse Prevention Month

Bedford County Mayor Chad Graham signed a proclamation of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month on Friday, March 31, as representatives of Junior’s House Inc Child Advocacy Center planted a “pinwheel garden” on the lawn of the former Chamber of Commerce building on Cannon Boulevard.

Each of the 50 pinwheels represents 10 of the children served by Junior’s House across its service area. Junior’s House is based in Fayetteville but has a Shelbyville location in the county-owned Bedford County Business Complex.

Junior’s House provides a variety of services related to child abuse, including forensic interviews. More information is available at https://www.juniorshousecac.org/ .
