On Tuesday Tennessee set another record for COVID-19 hospitalizations as 3,693 patients are now hospitalized with COVID. Covid Shuts Down Grundy County Schools

Due to the increased COVID-19 cases in the county, all Grundy County schools will be closed from Friday, Sept. 3 through Friday, Sept. 10. School will resume two Mondays from now, Sept. 13. All extracurricular activities are also canceled during this time.

COVID-19 is hitting area hospitals hard. More people hospitalized in Tennessee with COVID-19 than at any other time in the pandemic. Wednesday afternoon a new record of 3,338 people were in hospitals with COVID. 943 are in ICU, 661 on ventilators. The old record was 3,314 set in early January.
