On November 10, 2023, the position of Tullahoma Chief of Police became vacant upon the resignation of Chief Jason Williams. Since that time, this position has been filled in the interim by Chase Sons.
After a thirty-day posting period had expired, over thirty applications from interested candidates were received.
On Monday, February 19, 2024, the final four candidates were interviewed by two separate panels at City Hall.
City Administrator Jason Quick recommended to the Board of Mayor and Adleman to hire Sons as the city’s new police chief. Sons accepted the job during Monday’s board meeting.
Chief Sons has been in law enforcement for 16 years, with 13 years in Tullahoma.
