Chip Ganassi Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist’s dramatic and relentless hunt down of polesitter Patricio O’Ward paid off on the penultimate lap of the second race in the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America, snatching the lead and going on to score his first NTT IndyCar Series victory Sunday.
Scott Dixon had won the first three races of the season in his PNC Bank car, but could not contend with the faster O’Ward and Rosenqvist at the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin track. An early first lap crash almost took out several contenders, but only Graham Rahal could not finish the race.
