Drowning at Tims Ford Lake

Franklin County officials say rescue teams found the body of a man who drowned in Tims Ford Lake on Saturday.

The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency said it responded along with state park rangers and Franklin County deputies around 2:30 PM Saturday afternoon to a potential drowning. With the use of sonar and divers searching the area, they were able to recover a 32-year-old Tate Mustin from Fayetteville.

Officials added that they encourage everyone to wear a life jacket.
