Fatal Accident on the Hillsboro Hwy Monday Night

A fatal accident occurred on Monday night at 9:25 on the Hillsboro Hwy near LKQ.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) report, 60-year-old Timothy Sullivan and 68-year-old James Rowland were fighting in the roadway. A tractor-trailer driven by 36-year-old Dobromir Nikolov of Illinois was unable to stop before striking the pedestrians.

Sullivan died as a result of the injuries he received in the accident, and Rowland was transported to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment of his injuries. The THP says charges are pending against Rowland due to the outcome of the investigation.
