Former Area Police Officer Used Fake High School Diploma to Get Jobs

The Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy has received an anonymous complaint about a former area police officer. The complaint said that Brandon Patterson paid for his diploma on Amazon.

The former Pikeville, TN police officer and Grundy County Sheriff’s Deputy was found to have used a fake high school diploma to get his jobs.

An investigator went to the school on the diploma, and they couldn’t find Patterson graduated from the school. The state confirmed Patterson did not graduate from a school in Tennessee.

He will face decertification if he ever comes before the state commission.
