Earlier this week, the Grundy County School Board approved a historic $5,000 increase in the salaries for all full-time classified employees. Part-time classified employees will also receive a prorated raise based on daily or hourly rates.
Additionally, the daily rate for substitute teachers was raised to $75 per day for subs without a college degree and $100 per day for subs with a college degree.
The school board in Grundy County had already given first-year teachers an increase of $5,500 in July.
