On Monday Head Coach Micah Williams resigned as head boys basketball coach at Coffee County Central High School.
Athletic Director Rebecca Koger stated “We appreciate his dedication to our athletes. His energy and efforts have contributed greatly to the success of our program. Coach Williams has been an integral part of CHS basketball for a long time and we wish him continued success in the next chapter of his coaching career.”
Micah Williams is a former college basketball player from ETSU. Williams played basketball at the collegiate level for four years with the Buccaneers from 2007-2011 and was redshirted 2006-2007. He went onto play pro basketball overseas.
Williams played his high school ball at Coffee County. He was named MVP his sophomore, junior and senior years playing for the Red Raiders.
It is expected that Williams will be named the new head boy’s basketball coach at Webb school and Bell Buckle
