Tullahoma softball dropped a slugfest with Cascade 20-16 Wednesday night at East Middle School in Tullahoma.
Kylee Holt and Addie Norman led the charge for the Lady Cats as Holt score four runs and sole two bases, reaching in five of her six plate appearances (1 hit, 5 walks). Norman also scored four times, snagged a bag, had 2 RBI and reached in five of six trips to the plate (3 hits, 1 walk 1 hit by pitch).
Victoria Wells and Ella Thompson had big nights to lead Cascade to the win. Wells was 2-4 with a double 2 RBI and four runs scored. She also walked twice to reach base in four of six plate appearances. Thompson was 2-3 with a pair of RBI and four runs scored reaching base in five of six trips to the plate (2 walks 1 error).
In total Tullahoma plated 16 runs on six hits and committed five errors. Cascade pounded out 20 runs on 11 hits and had 3 errors.
The loss drops the Lady Cats to 3-3 overall. They close a busy week with a trip to Marion County tonight at 5:00. Cascade improves to 1-4 on the season. They host Forrest today at 5:30.
