Lady Cats out slug Franklin County for District Win

As heard on 93.9 The Duck’s Tennessee Homes Spring Showcase, Katelyn Gattis’ five RBI night night led the charge for Tullahoma outslugged district rival Franklin County 20-10 at home Tuesday Night.

In a game featuring offense from the start the Rebelettes opened the game plating four runs in the top of the first including a two-run homer from Alyssa Sherrill. Franklin County trimmed the lead to two in the second thanks to a two run double from Raelyn Wainwright and an RBi single from Jocylin DeSmit but that’s as close as Franklin County would come the rest of the evening.

The Rebeletes plated three more runs in the fourth and fifth as DeSmit his a two run home run in the frouth and Emma Owens added an RBi single in the fifth.

Tullahoma ended the game in the fifth with four more runs thanks to RBI singles from Madi Goad and Maggie Lynch and a pair of Franklin County errors to invoke the run rule.

Amaya Sharp picked up the win for the Lady Cats scattering 11 hits and 10 runs (three earned) 1 walk and 1 strike out across 5 innings to improve to 3-2 on the year.
