Lady Raider Softballer Chesnie Cox to play in College at Auburn University at Montgomery

Chesnie Cox will be a senior outfielder for the Coffee County Lady Raiders in the spring of 2024, but on Monday night, she made her commitment to play college softball at Auburn University at Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama.

The Warhawks, a Division II NCAA school that competes in the Gulf Coast Conference. The team made it to the Division II NCAA tournament last season and finished the year at 37-19.

Cox led the Lady Raiders in batting average in 2023 at .488. She had 39 hits, scored 38 times, two doubles, two triples, and 23 RBI. She also led her team in stolen bases with 17. Cox was also named the district Offensive Player of the Year.
